Candidates applying for a particular State/UT must be proficient in the specified local language of that State/UT. The candidate has to choose one specified local language while submitting the application.
Candidates who have studied the specified local language in Class 10 or Class 12 and can produce the relevant mark sheet/certificate will not be required to take the language test.
Candidates who have not studied the specified local language but are otherwise provisionally selected must qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test before joining. Failure to qualify the test will result in disqualification.

The pay scale for Junior Associates is:
Starting Basic Pay: ₹26,730/-
SBI states that the total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee posted in a metro such as Mumbai will be around ₹46,000 per month, including applicable Dearness Allowance, other allowances and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate Junior Associates.
